New Tourism Australia Campaign Launched

Australians are being invited to be part of Tourism Australia’s next international tourism campaign and share their favourite Australian holiday stories with the world.

The new campaign, with the tagline There’s nothing like Australia, is being developed in phases. The first phase invites Australians to share their personal stories of where they live and holiday in Australia to show the world why they should visit.

The campaign has been developed to help create powerful word-of-mouth discussion about Australia to encourage others to travel to and through Australia.

From 15 April to 12 May 2010 Australians will have the chance to upload why they think There’s nothing like Australia with a photo onto www.nothinglikeaustralia.com, a website created by Tourism Australia for the new promotion.

Tourism businesses are being encouraged to get directly involved in the campaign by asking their visitors to upload their experience to the new  website, or using the opportunity to upload their own unique stories.

Importantly, the advertising materials also being developed will be designed to work for all sizes and types of tourism businesses.

A campaign toolkit and a domestic marketing prospectus will be launched at the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) in May.  The toolkit will contain an array of free tools to help the tourism industry leverage the campaign activity and promote their own businesses as part of the unique reason for travelling in Australia. The domestic marketing prospectus will offer a range of options to partner with the campaign. Learn More
