“Reef to Outback – An Undiscovered Australian Journey” is an international marketing campaign that was successfu
lly launched at the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) in June 2008 and it was a featured drive product at ATE 2009 in Melbourne. The ‘Reef to Outback’ concept compliments the existing international-ready drive routes of The Great Tropical Drive (Tropical North QLD & Surrounds) and The Great Sunshine Way (Sunshine Coast & Surrounds).
The Reef to Outback journey offers international visitors a unique experience stretching, from the Southern Great Barrier Reef to Australia’s outback by taking a journey through the uncrowded and perhaps not-so-well-known hidden treasures where Australians like to live and take holidays. The journey is designed to be incorporated into other itineraries and has the flexibility to suit all needs, time-frames and interests.
