Mary Carroll, Chief Executive Officer
Mary Carroll is the CEO of Capricorn Tourism and is responsible for the overall management of Capricorn Tourism operations including marketing and visitor servicing. Mary brings a combination of destination marketing, membership, corporate governance and strong relationship building skills to the organisation and has been recognised by our industry with numerous awards and accolades for her contributions including roles with QLD Information Centre Association (QICA) and Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA).

Janelle Kerr, Financial Controller
Janelle Kerr is the Financial Controller and is responsible for the organisations financial accounting and reporting. Janelle is currently completing a Bachelor of Business degree through CQU Rockhampton to extend on her accounting qualifications.

Carol Marechal, Executive Assistant
Devoted to the region, Carol has lived in Queensland for 16 years, working and managing offices from Brisbane to Townsville. Her previous experience in local government with Woodville City Council in South Australia for 10 years helped to develop her keen business sense and attention to detail when it comes to organisation and administration.

Krista White, Acting Tourism Manager/Destination Marketing Executive
Krista White is responsible for destination marketing, logo and collateral design and co-ordinating the visiting journalist program into the region. Krista has a Bachelor of Tourism degree through CQ University and is currently undertaking creative design studies to extend her skills.

Billie Walker, eMarketing Coordinator
Billie Walker is responsible for the updates and content for coporate and leisure websites, ATDW, STDW data, social media accounts and assists the marketing and projects team with major projects throughout the year. Billie is currently completing a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) at CQ University.

Deanne Bowd, Marketing Coordinator
Deanne is responsible for coordinating the Locals’ Loyalty Card, film and promotional projects, maps and trails, and assists the marketing and projects team with major projects throughout the year. Deanne’s varied range of skills are in part due to her background in television production, a great addition to the Capricorn Tourism team.

Neil Lethlean, Economic Development Manager
Neil’s career highlights include 20 years as General Manager of Tamworth (NSW) and Hervey Bay Councils’, plus in excess of 10years as a Senior Business Consultant working with a range of business enterprise including hospitality, concrete products, lifestyle villages and residential developments plus mining.
“The Rockhampton Region needs to better position itself to service local, regional and national projects including the ongoing resources boom taking place throughout the Central West and South East Corner – and we are here to assist!”

Sharyn Lowth, Project Executive
Involved with Skills Attraction to the region, Business Excellence Awards, Mining supply Chain and Carbon Network education, Sharyn enjoys the business community involvement her role at CTEDL offers.
Since joining the organisation in 2008, she has managed various project and function, including the Rockhampton Regional Development & Ergon Energy Business Excellence Awards, and a series of successful Resource Familiarisations and Major Project Forums. The Skills Attract Program has seen her promote the region at expos in Brisbane, manage a contingent from both Rockhampton and Mackay to “New Zealand Herald Your Careers Expo” in Auckland and most recently the “Opportunities Australia Expo” in Johannesburg. |

Lucy Belz, Project Officer
Lucy is the fifth-generation of Belzes to live in the Rockhampton Region and she couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Lucy graduated from the Rockhampton Grammar School in 2000 and went on to complete a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism and Professional Communication) at Central Queensland University.
After graduation, Lucy spent two years working in England, before returning to Rockhampton. A position of Events Co-ordinator with the inaugural Queensland Resources Expo (QREX) added to her event planning experience. Before joining the CTEDL team, Lucy was a Student Recruitment Officer at Central Queensland University. |

Ellie Traynor, Events Manager
Ellie Traynor is responsible for organising and providing coordination for a range of events in the region, including the major events such as QREX, Big River Jazz and services to Beef Australia. Ellie has a background in managing arts and community events and is currently completing a Bachelor of Creative Industries through QUT.

Ashlee Allwood, Events Coordinator
Ashlee Allwood has been involved with co-ordinating numerous events for Capricorn Business & Events and is also responsible for relocation and orientation tours of the region for new arrivals moving into the area. Ashlee has also been active in the Training & Development field prior to joining Capricorn Tourism.
